Questions About Floor Restoration After a Flood
- What should I do first?
- How much will I have to spend
- How long will this entire process take?
- What is most important?
- Is it getting done right?
These are a list of the many questions from flood victims…
Bizaillion Floors, LLC. will guide you through the proper process of restoring your floors damaged from floodwaters so you don't have regrets afterwards.
Our recommendation is that before replacing carpet or installing new wood floors, deeply clean the concrete foundation. Not just cleaned…HEAVILY FLUSHED with a powerful machine that can penetrate deeply into the concrete. The machinery we rely on (as seen in these videos) pulls debris and impurities out of the floor. It’s a hybrid of sorts. The HT777HP Hyper Turbo High Pressure turbo is the most efficient model on the market and is specifically designed for concrete restoration such as flooded concrete to clean deeper than any other machine.
Here we are getting the grime out of a concrete foundation:
Once the floor is cleaned, we use a powerful disinfectant; however, we would not want to put disinfectant on a floor that is absorbed with contaminated wastewater. It would be like having sewage, for example, on your hands and just rubbing sanitizer on them. Certainly they would not be clean! Anything should be cleaned before it is sanitized. When the floor is thoroughly clean, we apply Multi-Clean® 64 Millennium Q, a commercial grade disinfectant, cleaner, mildewstat, fungicide, virucide, deodorizer to the entire area. This product works extremely well, however, it is important to use it on a clean surface. Flush out all the polluted floodwater, then sanitizing it sounds simple, but many people get it wrong! When they see our system (as demonstrated) extremely clean and flush out all of the foul, caked-on water and sheetrock debris from their home, it's a no-brainer. Homeowners immediately want it done.
So while we are working on your terrazzo, travertine or Saltillo floors, we can provide an additional service of preparing your concrete for carpet and wood flooring and you’ll be assured it is wholly cleaned and sterilized. At a moderate cost (about a dollar a square foot), you’ll feel good about your home again and we’ll feel good that we served you – especially in these critical times of flooding.
