When we think of slates, our minds might instantly wander off to thoughts like “blackboards.” This isn’t unusual, as slates were used as the main materials to create blackboards. It was the norm back in the day, and it’s still highly regarded as such today.
In the 1800s, slate was introduced into the United States of America, and it has been such a valuable piece of material ever since.
From being used as blackboards to being developed as a household material, slate has come so far. It’s no wonder why it’s getting the recognition it deserves, like most natural stones around the country.
In recent years, slate has been preferred by designers and architects alike. This stone is mainly used for flooring, bathrooms, and even walls. It has a unique dark color, and its texture is quite matte, making it perfect for those looking for this particular design.
Not only that, but slate is known for being durable and so you won’t have a hard time maintaining or keeping it clean.
There are so many benefits to this natural stone, and we’re pretty glad that it’s finally getting the attention it deserves.
In order to make slate surfaces more vibrant, a sealant must be applied. This can also ensure the longevity of their lifespan, so they wouldn’t be hard to clean. Applying a sealant can make a homeowner’s life so much easier, and this is a service that we offer here at Bizaillion Floors.
