- Wipe or vacuum the travertine to remove loose dirt, debris, and other particles on the floor.
- Dampen and wipe with soft microfiber ended mop or soft rag to remove the remaining dirt and debris not removed by sweeping and vacuuming.
- If your travertine is unfilled, you must do some spot cleaning. Use warm water and a soft brush to rub the pockmarks.
- Always dry the travertine with clean rags or mop, do not let it dry naturally.
Intense Cleaning
When dirt and grime cannot be cleaned by using just water, here’s what you have to do.
- Wipe or vacuum the travertine to remove loose dirt, debris, and other particles on the floor.
- Instead of warm water, use a travertine cleaning solution and soak the area you are going to clean for a few minutes.
- When you see the grimes and dirt loosening, it is time to wipe it off with a soft rag or microfiber cloth.
- Proceed to rinse off with clean water.
- Always dry the travertine with clean rags or mop, do not let it dry naturally.
