Why do some homeowners choose to get their floors honed? Because they don't like to maintain the shine! And they don't want Travertine, although it is in its own right a versatile, natural stone. Some people just love the beauty of Marble! Hands down! And they love the kaleidoscope of colors that Marble offers.
Honing (a unique, exact polishing technique) is quite difficult unless you are very familiar with the process and with Marble stone. Every part of the floor must be honed – no shine peeking through; however, it can be done and it is a great choice…especially if you prefer low-maintenance care and want that elegant, classy look.
