Outdoor sealers are easy to come by and available in a variety of brands and types. We’ll go over the best of the best, as well as when and when to use them.
Travertine Pavers
For travertine pavers, we have two sealers: a natural look sealer and an enhancing sealer. Both sealers are penetrating sealers that penetrate the pavers and plug the pores, preventing discoloration and even organic development.
Our penetrating sealer with a natural look is a hybrid solvent-based penetrating sealer. Because of the deep organic bonding strength, this sealer protects against salt, acid rain, high alkali soil, tiny organic deterioration, and UV breakdown.
If you want your travertine pavers to have more vibrancy, we have an enhancer sealer that can make them look wet without being glossy or slippery. The only difference between our enhancer sealer and our natural sealer is that our enhancer sealers have a moist appearance. It will bring out all of the hues of the pavers as it sinks into the stone, giving you the appearance you get when you water off the pavers and leave them that way. The enhancer, like the natural look sealer, will operate as a barrier to prevent staining and discoloration.
Concrete and Brick Pavers
Concrete is commonly used to make brick pavers, and the sealers we use on concrete and brick pavers are the same. For brick and concrete, we have a natural look sealer and a wet look sealer, similar to Travertine. This sealer will keep your brick pavers looking as good as they did when they were first laid. Our hybrid solvent-based natural look sealers provide the best possible protection from Arizona’s weather and various factors.
We have two different types of wet look sealers. The first is a water-based sealer, whereas the second is a high-solvent-based sealer. We use the water-based wet look sealer first, but due to how absorbent concrete is, we occasionally have to use the high solids sealer to ensure the pavers get the optimum protection and look.
Biz Floors is always happy to talk about all of your options and make recommendations for the sort of pavers and style you want. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
